A word about the artist.

Chris is 27 years old and hails originally from Griffin, Georgia. In 1996, Chris graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking.

Chris began drawing at an early age of three. At about the same age, he decided to become a comic book penciller. His first submission came when he was only nine, as did his first rejection letter. Currently, Chris is looking for a job in multimedia or art direction or production (comic book pencilling might take a while).

Chris first discovered H.P.Lovecraft in about 1986, though it wasn't till 1990 that he claims he became a true Lovecraft fan. He's an avid Call of Cthulhu gamer/gamemaster (though it's been awhile since he's played). His other influences include Japanese anime, American comics, and the future-noir of Cyberpunk.

You can find more of Chris Conkle's work, along with other information about him and his world at his web site, if I only knew where it went. If anyone has any info on its whereabouts, let me know. For now, though, on to the exhibit.
